VILLA NORTH – Space for contemporary art, culture and interdisciplinary research

VILLA NORTH is a cultural association in Millstatt that functions at the intersection between artists, authors and theorists. We see ourselves as an open forum for artistic and academic discourse within the national and international art and culture scene.

VILLA NORTH offers access to the extensive archive, which includes the diverse collection and library of the renowned professor Peter North, as well as a varied cultural programme.

At the centre of VILLA NORTH is the digital archive with over 10,000 digitised items (including analogue photographs, documents and objects) from the disciplines of industrial design, bionics, architecture and ecology. In addition, the library offers access to over 3,000 specialised books and journals in several languages. This provides international scientists and artists with resources that they can use for their work.
