Salzburg's regional museums and collections

Salzburg's regional museums have the task of collecting, preserving, exhibiting and communicating tangible and intangible cultural heritage to specific target groups. Of the more than 130 museums in the city and province of Salzburg, 102 collections, museums, open-air ensembles and show mines from all districts are currently members of the Salzburg Regional Association of Museums and Collections (Landesverband Salzburger Museen und Sammlungen). They all offer diverse insights into the past and present, rarities from art and culture, gems from crafts and technology as well as treasures from everyday life and society.
