eSeL.at is a well-established information and communication platform dedicated to documenting the contemporary arts and culture scene in Vienna and its surroundings. Since 1998, our platform has served as a point of intersection for arts and culture institutions, artists, and the audience, bridging the gap in cultural exchange. Our information network, including the popular Art Calendar (www.eSeL.at), has become an established institution within the Austrian art scene, based in the MuseumsQuartier Vienna.

The “eSeL Rezeption” - our office headquarters in MQ serves as both an exhibition space and an information hub for art enthusiasts and visitors. Through curated events, recommendations, and our weekly newsletter ("eSeL Mehl"), our Art Calendar showcases the diverse range of art programs across all disciplines – from major "blockbuster" exhibitions to "insider tips" from local communities and the independent scene.

Our social media channels serve as an additional platform for cultural reporting, program overviews, and commentary on current art events. With the relaunch of our website and the introduction of new social media channels, we are continually expanding our reach to engage with new audiences.

As part of the "rewind.eSeL.at" project, our meticulously curated data on art and cultural events, gathered over two decades, has been standardized using scientific metadata parameters and made accessible for academic research and utilization.
