The Leopold Museum is a unique treasure trove of Viennese Jugendstil, the Wiener Werkstätte and Expressionism. As the most visited institution in the city's trendiest cultural location, the MuseumsQuartier, it houses the world's largest collection of works by the Austrian Expressionist Egon Schiele, as well as masterpieces by Secession founder Gustav Klimt.
In addition, the Leopold Museum, a light-filled cube clad in white shell limestone, showcases unique pieces by Wiener Werkstätte artists from Josef Hoffmann to Koloman Moser, as well as changing, fascinating special exhibitions on the 19th century, on classical Modernism and contemporary art.
