Ubi Erat Lupa, Latin for ‘Where was the (Roman) she-wolf’, is an international image database on ancient stone monuments and is operated and expanded by the association of the same name. The focus is on reliefs, inscriptions and architectural elements from antiquity, which can be found in large numbers throughout the Roman Empire. Currently (as of the end of 2024), almost 36,000 objects around the Mediterranean have been recorded.
